Frequently asked questions

Coverage and Benefits

  • Yes. We understand circumstances change, and if you wish you update your beneficiaries, please contact your local branch by calling (888) 636-3535.

  • In some instances, your benefits can differ based on the state in which you reside. It is for this reason that it is important to talk with one of our Branch Team Members about the specific benefits that would apply to you. Also, an insurance certificate is provided with your loan closing documents and this details your specific coverages.

Filing a Claim

  • For insurance claims, the claim payment will be made to Regional Finance and applied to the outstanding balance of your loan. After satisfying your credit obligation with Regional Finance, and if the claim payment(s) received exceed(s) the payoff amount of your loan, any additional proceeds will be paid to you or your designated beneficiary(ies).

  • Only items used to secure the loan and listed on the Schedule A in your loan documents are covered by the Personal Property Insurance policy.

Cancellation of Insurance

  • If you do not cancel prior to paying off your loan, your coverage will end at the maturity date as stated on your loan closing documents.

  • No, the insurance premium refund will be applied to your outstanding loan balance, reducing the amount you owe to Regional Finance.

  • No, the premium for the canceled insurance product will be applied to your outstanding loan balance thereby reducing the timeframe to pay off your loan and the associated finance charges.

  • If you pay off your loan early, any unearned premium will be applied to the outstanding loan balance thereby reducing the amount owed at payoff.
