Disclosures

Not all optional insurance products are available on all loans or in all states. Eligibility requirements must be met to obtain certain optional insurance protection products. Claim payments for all optional insurance products are issued to Regional Finance and applied against the balance of your outstanding loan. Should claim benefit payments exceed the payoff amount of the loan, any overage will be issued to the covered borrower, or in the event of life insurance, to the designated beneficiary(ies).

Do benefits differ based on where I live?
In some instances, your benefits can differ based on the state in which you reside. Also, an insurance certificate is provided with your loan closing documents and this details your specific coverages.
Am I able to change my life insurance beneficiary?

Am I eligible for these optional insurance products?

If I refinance my current loan, can I purchase the same optional coverages I previously had?
In most cases, yes, you will be able to renew your coverages. However, there may be some age restrictions or employment changes that may affect future eligibility. Please contact your local branch at (888) 636-3535 to learn more.

Filing a Claim

Will I receive a check once my claim is approved?
For insurance claims, the claim payment will be made to Regional Finance and applied to the outstanding balance of your loan. After satisfying your credit obligation with Regional Finance, and if the claim payment(s) received exceed(s) the payoff amount of your loan, any additional proceeds will be paid to you or your designated beneficiary(ies).
What can I claim under the Personal Property Insurance?
Only items used to secure the loan and listed on the Schedule A in your loan documents are covered by the Personal Property Insurance policy.

Cancellation of Insurance

When will my coverage end?
If you do not cancel prior to paying off your loan, your coverage will end at the maturity date as stated on your loan closing documents.
If I cancel my insurance, will I receive a check for the premium refund?
No, the insurance premium refund will be applied to your outstanding loan balance, reducing the amount you owe to Regional Finance.
If I cancel my optional insurance will my payment go down?
No, the premium for the canceled insurance product will be applied to your outstanding loan balance thereby reducing the timeframe to pay off your loan and the associated finance charges.
If I pay off my loan before the maturity date, do I get a refund of the premium I’ve already paid?
If you pay off your loan early, any unearned premium will be applied to the outstanding loan balance thereby reducing the amount owed at payoff.
